Orientation Booklet
This contains all the orientation information needed by students unfamiliar with BIS resources (download).

Where to Find Us?
The O'Rahilly Building is located to the left of the Library building. BIS computer labs are located, in the right hand wing, on each floor of the building. In order to ensure even distribution of computing resources each student group is assigned to specific labs and even lab access times.

As first year students studying a BIS module the computer labs assigned to you are as follows:

Undergraduate:
  • BSc (Bus Info Sys) 1 B.02

Postgraduate:

Opening Hours of BIS Computer Labs in O'Rahilly Building:
NB: LABS MUST BE VACATED IMMEDIATELY, WHEN REQUESTED TO DO SO, BY SECURITY STAFF
  • Monday - Friday 9.00 a.m. to 10.15 p.m.

  • Saturday 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.

  • Sunday 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.
Usage Policy for the Computing Labs:
You are responsible for your behaviour in the BIS Computer Labs and you must be aware of and comply with the following  Acceptable Usage Policyand Lab Rules. Any breach of these will result in your computer account being disabled for duration of time to be decided by the Systems Administrator Manager.
